On 5/11/23 we shared an update that included a summary of the Huron SIS Assessment Report, recordings of an all-campus presentation about the report, and calls for feedback. The email was formatted as a newsletter to make the information as digestible as possible.
At the beginning of the Academic Year, Vassar undertook a project to conduct a “Readiness and Requirements” review of our Student Information System. The project was steered by a committee, whose membership is made up of multiple faculty members and representatives from the major units across campus that depend most directly on the SIS. This review was designed to include all processes related to the student records life cycle, from admittance to graduation.
The Readiness and Requirements review of our Student Information System (i.e. Banner, AskBanner, Preregistration) has been underway for a few weeks now.
As we have stated before, one goal of the review is to solicit broad input from throughout the college regarding how processes related to the student records life cycle work today, how they will need to work going forward, and what is most important to individuals in managing potential system or process changes that we may undertake in the future.
This is a reminder that as part of the Readiness and Requirements review of our Student Information System we will be holding 3 more feedback sessions this Friday, November 4th.
